| America is beautiful. We, the People, are beaufiful, and generous, and good. Yet our greatest strength -- uniting together for the common good -- has been used against us by dangerous conservative elite who have infiltrated our three branches of government to carry out actions against the People and for consolidation of power and ill-gotten gain. Despite widespread reports to the contrary, the Y2K crisis that was predicted did happen -- just not as most Americans expected. Election theft... Corporate greed rising in direct proportion to the increasing gap between conservative elites and working Americans... the Regime delivering millions of American taxpayers' dollars to the Taliban one month before 9-11 ... 9-11: the Resident's saving grace and America's curse, not only because of the horrific death & suffering of that day, but because of the increased suffering directly linked to misguided policies and down-right deceptions from the highest levels of our government in the name of protecting us from "terror." Though We, as a People, have yet to grasp the true terror that has transpired in the first decade of the 21st century, finally, after nearly six years, a significant number of Americans are beginning to recognize how our values of love of country, commitment to our neighbors, and love of family has been used against us. |

| I was one of handful of Americans whose REACTION to the initial chaos was ACTIVE. We could not and would not stand by while our nation was being hi-jacked and destroyed -- not by foreign terrorits -- rather, by conservative and corporate elite bent on buying and selling America and Americans for their own greedy ends. Beginning in 2001 and for the next two years, I organized over a dozen political actions, and participated in dozens more. By mid-2002 many Americans had gotten on-board with the Active Reaction mode, mostly because Bush et al (which included Dems as well as GOP warmongers & pain profiteers) were threatening an unprecedented policy of "preemptive strikes." Active Reaction continues today, though troubling that it is settling back to bi-partisan mode rather than a multi-political or apolitical movement it first aspired to. Much of my writings & photos from the early days of Active Reaction have been removed from web sites where they were posted on-the-fly (for posterity...guess in this day and age more than a couple of years backlog is too ancient to keep). Still, the PeaceVille link (below) offers a glimpse of the positive energy that I created. gave. and helped to unleash. |
